Actually, WCCS's monitoring software only looks out for certain words. It will hit on offensive words searched for or anything that would pop up on their list of no-no's. They don't monitor useage. I'm sure they can take a look at it if there was a question, but they don't monitor useage as far as individual x spending x amounts of hours wasting time.

That is not true, sorry.
When I retired, which was five years ago, they did monitor usage to a degree. I know this firsthand as I was involved in monitoring some situations with the help of my Computer Tech. Maybe they have changed, I don't know. They can also monitor email.

You are right.
I'm just going by what a friend who is a Computer Tech for Wise Co. Schools has told me. I forget the name of the program they use. He said all he's ever alerted for is things that kids shouldn't be looking up. He said he got an alert because some girl was looking up something about breast enhancment, a couple of weeks ago he got an alert because a kid was looking up guitar tab for a band called Alabama Thunderpussy. Like I said he's told me, they don't sit around trying to figure out which person stays online the most. I'm sure if someone is accused of being online 90% of the day it would be able to check to see what was going on, but that's not what they use their system for.
All they have to do is check the IP...

Was not being noisy.. but a lot of people get on at work, read the post that Rock made. I do my job and I also post on the forum. A certain poster on here will not let stuff die. Seems like he is just trying to start trouble. He can do what he wishes, I could care less.
I think you're talking about me! Guess what? I don't give a damm! But seriously, the reason people won't let things die with you is because you have a habit of sticking your foot in your mouth at every opportunity. Now it's the internet usage at work issue. Sure this site you go to may be "approved", but I'm sure that if someone knew the extent of time you spend on here every day, something would be said. I have worked at places where internet usage was both allowed and not. When I left Sykes in "03, internet usage was frowned upon. I worked in the Quality Assurance department on the night shift, 11am to 8am. We were required to do 11 monitors a day. The rest of the time, they asked us to spend on "constructive activities." My good friend worked on that team with me and left at 5am. I had as much internet as I could stand, but only got on sparingly. Why, because there was a world of other things to do. Mainly, I would bring books to read. Pac Man, I think it's a hoot that PVHS wants to pay you to make over 200 posts on an internet forum in 7 days time. Just proves that you either have no imagination or no life of your own, even at work.
